HOUSE RULES
  • Respect & Consent
    We enforce a strict “No means No” policy. Aggression, violence, or harassment toward guests or staff will result in immediate expulsion.
  • Privacy & Photography
    To protect guest privacy, photography and video recording are strictly prohibited in all public areas via cameras, cell phones, or tablets.
  • Public Intercourse
    Intercourse is strictly confined to your private room, the Jacuzzi Lounge, or the Playroom. Public displays of intercourse in non-designated areas (like the main pools or beach) are prohibited.
  • Exclusive Areas
    Access to the Jacuzzi Lounge, the Playroom, and the Private Couples' Lounge is reserved exclusively for couples.
  • Dress Code
    While au naturel freedom is celebrated in designated areas (pools, beach, lounges), proper attire is required in all restaurants, the disco, and the lobby. Shoes or sandals must be worn at all times for safety.
  • Illegal Substances
    The possession, consumption, or sale of drugs or narcotics is strictly prohibited and will be reported to federal authorities.
  • Drinking & Wellbeing
    For guest safety, staff reserves the right to refuse spirits service to anyone showing signs of excessive intoxication.
  • Smoke-Free Campus
    By law, all rooms, terraces, pools, beach areas, and dining venues are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area located next to the Suki restaurant. Smoking in rooms will incur a $5,000 MXN deep-cleaning charge.
  • Food Allergies
    Guests must notify restaurant staff of any food allergies before ordering. Consumption of potential allergens or raw food is at the guest's own risk.

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. If you require a late check-out, please submit a request at the front desk or directly to your butler.
  • Can specific room requests be guaranteed?
    While we cannot guarantee specific room numbers or building locations, our team will make every effort to accommodate your preferences.
  • Are guests allowed to take photos or videos at the resort?
    To protect the privacy of all our guests, photography and videography are strictly prohibited in all public areas of the resort. You are only permitted to take photos and videos within the privacy of your own room.
  • Is there a phone number I can share with relatives that doesn't mention the hotel's name?
    Yes. Please provide us with your full name, arrival/departure dates, and reservation confirmation number, and we will happily provide you with a discreet, family-friendly contact number.
  • Where are the designated smoking areas at the resort?
    In compliance with local laws, Desire is a smoke-free property. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited on the beach, in rooms, on terraces, by the pools, and in dining venues. Smoking is only permitted in the designated area located next to the Suki restaurant.
  • Does the resort offer an airport transfer service?

  • Can guests purchase day or night passes?
    Desire Resorts are exclusively for registered overnight guests. However, if you are already staying at one of our properties, you can purchase a Day Pass to visit our sister property (Desire Riviera Maya Resort or Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort).

  • What does it mean when an area is described as "au naturel"?
    "Au naturel" means clothing-optional. In these designated spaces, you have total freedom to wear clothes or not, depending on your personal comfort level.
  • Is it acceptable to walk au naturel anywhere in the resort?
    You are welcome to go au naturel in designated clothing-optional areas, which include the pools, the beach, the Jacuzzi Lounge, and the Private Couples’ Lounge. However, clothing is strictly required in the disco, all restaurants, the lobby, and other public indoor areas.
  • Are there specific rules or etiquette for the Private Couples’ Lounge and the Jacuzzi Lounge?
    Both lounges are exclusively reserved for couples. The golden rule is mutual respect; always be mindful and respectful of the privacy and boundaries of the other guests around you.
  • Is intercourse permitted in the pool or beach areas?
    No. Intercourse is strictly prohibited in public areas like the main pools or the beach. Intrcourse is exclusively permitted in the privacy of your room, the Jacuzzi Lounge, and the Playroom/Private Couples' Lounge.
